Everyone needs a set of pigeonholes in which to index those random thoughts, connections, and quotes they encounter over the course of a day. You probably have a certain mental image of this sort of thing. Maybe it’s one of those walls of wooden mail slots you used to find in the grand old hotels of 19th and 20th century America. Or perhaps it’s the musty warren of nooks you find in a roll-top desk. These days it’s often the back pocket of the Moleskines you’ve toted on your world travels, filled with ticket stubs, cocktail napkin jottings, betting slips for wagers gone sour, and mysterious phone numbers scribbled on the backs of business cards for long-dead dotcoms.
However you envision it, mine is a Tumblr log. Pithy points and nifty quotes. Go, rummage, find yourself something nice.
